The Call to the Post
Written and Directed by Brian Higdon
"Call to the Post" is about a former bugler who worked at a horse racing track, and returns to his job to play the Call to the Post one final time. The director wanted the film to feel realistic and to emphasize the grit and lonliness that still exists around a dying pastime in the suburbs of Boston. The featured costume of the film - the bugler's old red jacket - was made from scratch.
