Elisabeth Vastola is thrilled to be living her dream as a Costume Designer for all art and media. Born and raised in New York, Elisabeth has two degrees in English Literature and Art History from Columbia University. Her foundation in liberal arts has always been a cornerstone of her design process. She has also studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Parsons The New School for Design, the Art Students League of New York, Oxford Media School in Oxford, England, Central St. Martin's School for Art and Design in London, and at the Kyoto Costume Institute in Kyoto, Japan. Elisabeth has been a part of design teams for film, opera, theater, television, and print, having worked in the Fashion Closet at Teen People Magazine and for the Wardrobe/Costume Department at MTV Networks. Her work for Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle, Tony-Award winning director Bartlett Sherr and esteemed opera and film director Chen Shi-Zheng, Costume Designers Suttirat Larlarb, and Caitlin Ward all over the United States, has inspired Elisabeth to continue following her passion for design, with collaboration and creativity at the forefront of her work. Elisabeth is a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829, www.usa829.org, and now lives in the Carroll Gardens section of Brooklyn, NY.
